Therapeutic Dentistry
Therapeutic dentistry is a branch of dentistry focused on the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of diseases of the teeth, gums, and mucous membranes of the oral cavity. It includes the treatment of cavities, pulpitis, periodontitis, diseases of the oral mucosa, restoration of damaged tooth enamel, removal of dental deposits, tooth whitening, and bleaching.
The goal of therapeutic dentistry is to preserve the tooth as long as possible to avoid extraction. Unfortunately, there are cases when a tooth needs to be removed, so decisions are made considering many factors (clinical and radiological).
In our clinic, we perform the following therapeutic procedures:
- Treatment of cavities;
- Treatment of pulp and periodontal diseases (pulpitis/periodontitis);
- Retreatment of previously treated endodontic teeth;
- Aesthetic composite restorations;
- Treatment of periodontal diseases (periodontitis/periodontosis);
- Treatment of diseases of the oral mucosa;
- Professional teeth whitening using the ZOOM system.
We also provide professional oral hygiene with a subsequent selection of individual hygiene products. Professional hygiene includes:
- Removal of supragingival and subgingival dental stones with ultrasound; Removal of subgingival dental stones using Gracey's zone-specific curettes (used as indicated);
- Removal of pigmented plaque with a silicone brush and special paste;
- Dense pigmented plaque removal using the Air-Flow system*;
- Selection of individual oral hygiene products.

*The Air-Flow system is used not only for removing pigmented plaque but also for tooth lightening (not to be confused with whitening). Unlike whitening, this procedure is much gentler on the enamel and other tooth tissues.
